Powercor Brooklyn

B2B PCM were engaged by CitiPower Powercor for the construction of a new depot including the sub-division of the existing 40-acre allotment and creation of new council and Department of Transport roadway. The proposed depot services Melbourne’s Western suburbs and homes over 300 staff. The site initially required an extensive demolition scope of multiple existing industrial shed structures to ready the site for the vast civil scope. Upon earthworks completion, an immense structural steel, building and services installation occurred to construct all buildings required within the depot including office building, vehicle and materials storage, multiple mixed-use equipment storage buildings and roadway. All new services were intercepted beneath neighbouring arterial roads and reticulated through the newly constructed road and into the depot.
